Overview
The MB7388 HRXL-MaxSonar-WRML is a high-resolution ultrasonic sensor designed for long-range precision distance measurement in difficult environments. With a range capability of 50 cm to 10 m and a 1 mm resolution, this sensor ensures accurate and reliable measurements. it features a advanced filtering firmware which prioritizes detecting the largest ultrasonic reflection while rejecting smaller clutter and noise.
It operates on a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes a nominal current of 3.1mA, with peak current draw reaching ~98mA. The MB7389 offers multiple output options, including pulse width (1 µs per mm resolution), analog voltage (10 mm resolution), and digital serial (1 mm resolution, TTL format) allowing seamless integration into various systems.
It is designed with built-in temperature compensation to ensure consistent accuracy across an operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C.
Designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the MB7388 is IP67-rated for weather resistance and offers optional chemical resistance for even more demanding environments.
