Overview

The MB7850 TankSensor ultrasonic sensor offers 1 cm resolution and a ~4Hz read rate, making it suitable for precise distance measurement applications. The sensor operates at 42kHz, effectively measuring distances to objects with a 5-cm minimum range and a 5-meter maximum range. It is RoHS compliant and provides multiple output options, including analog voltage, serial communication, and an analog envelope for signal processing and troubleshooting.

The sensor functions on a low-power design, requiring an operating voltage between 3.0V to 5.5V and consuming an average current of only 1.8mA. Designed to be lightweight and integrates seamlessly into various projects. It operates reliably in extreme temperatures, from -40˚C to +65˚C (-40˚F to +149˚F).
