Overview
Water level sensor is a simple, affordable and cost-effective device that detects water level changes by measuring water conductivity across exposed pcb tinned copper traces.
The sensor pcb has ten copper traces arranged in an alternating pattern: power trace, sense trace, power trace, and so on. While these traces are electrically separated in dry conditions, water immersion bridges the gap between adjacent power and sense traces.
It has a transitor on board which is connected to these interlocking power and sesne traces. When any amount of water or moisture falls on the traces, it outputs an analog signal which can be connected to any microcontroller for processing the signal into any desired actions.
This sensor may output analog or digital signal depending on the amount of moisture or water present.
We recommend using this sesnor as an ON and OFF type sensor rather then detecting water levels.
