Cytron 8-Channel RC Servo Controller Shield for Arduino is a practical servo driver shield designed for Arduino-compatible main boards when you need to control multiple RC servos without burdening the host MCU with pulse generation. It can drive 8 independent servo channels on a single board and communicates over a simple UART serial interface.
The shield includes a built-in 5V switching regulator for servo power, accepts a wide 7V to 25V input supply, and supports up to 5A peak total current with 4A continuous support. Each output can generate servo pulses from 0.5ms to 2.5ms with 0.25us resolution, giving broad compatibility with standard RC servos and helping achieve their full motion range.
It supports position control, speed control, independent channel activation, optional position reporting, and saved UART baud rate settings in non-volatile memory. Besides stacking with Arduino-compatible boards such as UNO and Mega, it can also be controlled through its 6-pin UART header using a USB-to-serial converter or another microcontroller with 5V logic-level signals.
