DFRobot Gravity Analog EC Meter V2 Lab Grade Sensor Kit (K=1) is built for measuring electrical conductivity in aqueous solutions, making it a practical choice for water quality monitoring, aquaculture, hydroponics, and environmental testing projects. The upgraded V2 design works from a 3.0~5.0V supply, so it can be integrated with a wide range of microcontroller platforms.
The signal conversion board provides a hardware-filtered analog output with low jitter, while the AC excitation source helps reduce probe polarization during measurement. Combined with the Gravity interface and BNC probe connection, the kit is easy to wire into Arduino-based and other embedded systems without soldering.
DFRobot’s software support includes two-point calibration, automatic recognition of standard buffer solutions, and a temperature compensation algorithm. For best results, use a temperature sensor in your setup and complete calibration before first use or after long storage intervals.
Important: The included probe is a laboratory-grade probe. Do not leave it immersed in liquid for long periods. Clean only with distilled water and avoid touching the platinum black layer on the probe surface, as damage can affect measurement accuracy.

The supported library provides two-point calibration using standard buffer solutions 1413us/cm and 12.88ms/cm, with automatic buffer identification. After calibration, parameters are stored in the controller EEPROM as described in DFRobot’s example workflow.
To improve measurement accuracy across changing conditions, DFRobot recommends adding an external temperature sensor so the library can apply automatic temperature compensation during EC measurement.
It measures the electrical conductivity (EC) of aqueous solutions for water quality monitoring. It is positioned for applications such as aquaculture, water culture, and environmental detection.
The signal conditioner board operates from 3.0V to 5.0V. It provides an analog output of 0 to 3.4V.
The lab-grade probe has a supported detection range of 0 to 20 ms/cm, with a recommended working range of 1 to 15 ms/cm. Its cell constant is 1.0.
The probe connects to the board through a BNC connector, and the board uses a PH2.0-3Pin signal connector. The Gravity-style design is described as plug and play, with no welding required.
Yes. The supported software library provides two-point calibration, automatic recognition of the 1413 uS/cm and 12.88 ms/cm standard buffer solutions, and a temperature compensation algorithm.
Yes. The probe should not be left immersed in liquid for long periods, and it should only be cleaned with distilled water to help avoid damaging the probe surface and affecting accuracy.
