DFRobot Gravity: Lab Grade Analog EC / Electrical Conductivity Sensor for Wastewater Testing (K=10) is designed for measuring medium-to-high conductivity liquids in the 10~100 mS/cm range. It is well suited to wastewater testing, liquid quality analysis, and other Arduino-based monitoring projects that need a laboratory-grade EC probe.
The module works from 3.0~5.0V and provides a 0~3.2V analog output, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V mainboards. An AC excitation source is used to reduce probe polarization, while the Gravity interface and BNC probe connection make installation straightforward without soldering.
DFRobot's software library supports single-point calibration, automatic recognition of the standard buffer solution, and temperature compensation in code. For best accuracy, the guide recommends using a temperature sensor such as DS18B20 and an external power supply for the controller board.

The library supports single-point calibration using a 12.88 mS/cm standard buffer solution and can automatically identify the buffer during setup. Calibration parameters are saved in the controller board EEPROM after the proper exit command is used in the serial monitor.
Important: this is a laboratory-grade probe and should not be immersed in liquid for long periods, as that will shorten probe life. The platinum black layer on the probe should not be touched, and the probe should only be rinsed with distilled water to avoid damage and inaccurate readings.
Before testing a different liquid, rinse the probe with distilled water and remove residual droplets with paper to reduce cross-contamination. For more stable and accurate readings, DFRobot recommends adding temperature measurement for compensation and using an external power supply for the Arduino board.
This K=10 laboratory-grade EC sensor supports a detection range of 10 to 100 mS/cm. It is intended for medium to high conductivity liquids such as wastewater and similar liquid quality analysis applications.
Yes. The signal conversion board accepts 3.0 to 5.0V input and provides a 0 to 3.2V analog output, so it is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V mainboards. The supplier also lists Arduino IDE support with the DFRobot_EC10 library.
The probe connects through BNC, and the signal board uses a PH2.0 3-pin Gravity connector. The product is described as plug-and-play, with no welding required.
The provided software library supports single-point calibration and can automatically identify the 12.88 mS/cm standard buffer solution referenced in the guide. Calibration is performed through the sample code and serial commands in the Arduino IDE.
Yes. The software library integrates a temperature compensation algorithm. The reference guide strongly recommends adding a temperature sensor if you want more accurate compensated EC readings.
No, this is a laboratory-grade probe and the reference guide advises not to immerse it in liquid for a long time, as that can shorten probe life. The stated probe life is more than 0.5 years, depending on usage frequency and conditions.
